Sometimes you know exactly what is bringing you to therapy. Other times, you simply know that something isn't working the way it used to.
Dr. Ashley provides individualized psychotherapy for women navigating mental health concerns, neurodivergence, reproductive and hormonal transitions, relationships, parenting, professional demands, and significant life transitions.
Her work is particularly informed by the ways these experiences can intersect. ADHD may become harder to manage during a hormonal transition. Anxiety may show up differently when professional and caregiving demands increase. Strategies that worked earlier in life may become less sustainable as your body, roles, relationships, or environment change.
Therapy provides a place to understand those patterns, treat psychological symptoms and distress, and develop ways of responding that are both evidence-based and realistic for your life.

Women come to therapy for many different reasons, and you don't need to fit neatly into one category to be a good fit for this practice. Areas of particular expertise include:
Pregnancy, postpartum, parental leave and return to work, perimenopause, menopause, and the emotional, cognitive, relational, and professional changes that can accompany these transitions.
Understanding your brain, executive functioning, masking and compensation, emotional regulation, relationships, self-concept, and building strategies that fit how you actually think and function.
Including chronic worry, perfectionism, self-doubt, difficulty relaxing, low mood, sleep disruption, and the cumulative effects of managing too much for too long.
Navigating high-demand roles, boundaries, communication, imposter feelings, professional identity, career transitions, and the intersection between psychological health and work.
Understanding what matters to you, changing patterns that are no longer serving you, and navigating periods when your roles, relationships, priorities, or sense of self are shifting.
Good therapy is more than applying a particular technique or following a treatment manual. It means understanding what is happening, identifying approaches supported by research, and adapting those approaches to the person sitting in front of you.
The therapeutic relationship is central to that work. Evidence matters, but so does feeling understood, respected, and able to be honest about what is—and isn't—working.
Dr. Ashley integrates evidence-based psychological treatments based on each woman's concerns, goals, strengths, and circumstances. Her work draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and mindfulness-based approaches.
For some concerns, a more structured treatment approach can be especially useful. Dr. Ashley also provides:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)
CBT-I is a structured, evidence-based treatment for chronic insomnia that addresses the behavioral and cognitive patterns that can keep sleep difficulties going. It can be particularly useful when sleep has become disrupted during periods of stress, pregnancy and postpartum, perimenopause or menopause, or other life transitions.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Menopause
CBT can also be specifically adapted to address the experience and impact of menopausal symptoms. Treatment may incorporate strategies for managing hot flashes and night sweats, sleep disruption, stress, mood changes, and the thoughts and behavioral responses that can make symptoms more disruptive to daily life. CBT does not change the underlying hormonal transition; rather, it can help reduce the distress and interference associated with symptoms while strengthening coping and quality of life.
Evidence-based care does not mean that every person needs the same treatment. Sometimes therapy is highly structured and skills-focused. At other times, the work may involve slowing down, understanding patterns, exploring relationships or identity, or figuring out what you actually want before deciding what needs to change.
The goal is not to fit you into a therapy model. It's to use psychological science well, in the context of your actual life.

Therapy begins with a complimentary 15-minute consultation.
This brief conversation gives you a chance to share what is bringing you to therapy, ask questions, and get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit. Dr. Ashley will also consider whether her experience and approach are appropriate for what you're looking for.
If you decide to move forward, you'll schedule an initial 60-minute appointment. This first session allows more time to understand what has been happening, what you would like to be different, and what might be most useful to focus on in therapy.
From there, you and Dr. Ashley will develop an individualized plan for treatment, including how often to meet. Therapy may be relatively structured and focused on a specific concern, or it may evolve as circumstances, needs, and priorities change.
Initial 60-minute therapy intake: $275
50-minute psychotherapy session: $250
