Executive & Professional Coaching

Your Work Can Be Going Well—and Still Need to Work Better.

You don't need to be in crisis to recognize that something about the way you're working isn't sustainable, effective, or aligned with how you want to lead.

You may be managing greater complexity, stepping into a larger role, struggling to protect attention across competing priorities, or finding that strategies that helped you succeed earlier in your career no longer scale. You may be navigating difficult relationships, trying to communicate more effectively, or thinking carefully about the kind of leader you want to become as your influence grows.

For some professionals, ADHD, neurodivergence, or differences in executive functioning are part of that picture. For others, they aren't. Either way, effective coaching requires more than another productivity system or a list of leadership behaviors to practice.

Dr. Ashley combines expertise in psychology, executive functioning, behavior change, and leadership with a practical understanding of the demands facing high-performing professionals. Coaching is individualized around how you work, what your role requires, and what you're trying to change.

The goal isn't to turn you into someone else's version of an effective professional or leader. It's to help you work and lead more intentionally—and in ways you can actually sustain.

When What Got You Here Doesn't Scale

Success often comes with its own set of strategies. You learn how to work hard, solve problems quickly, respond to urgency, rely on your expertise, and take responsibility for getting things done. Those approaches may work extremely well—until the demands of your role change.

As responsibilities grow, the work often becomes less about what you can accomplish yourself and more about how you prioritize, communicate, delegate, develop others, make decisions with incomplete information, and protect your attention across competing demands.

At the same time, the systems you've relied on personally may become harder to maintain. A packed calendar leaves less room to recover from interruptions. Keeping everything in your head becomes less reliable. Perfectionism becomes expensive. Being highly responsive can make it difficult to protect strategic work. And solving problems yourself may no longer be the best use of your time.

Coaching creates space to examine which strategies are still serving you, which ones have become costly, and what needs to evolve for the role you have now.

This isn't about abandoning the strengths that helped you succeed. It's about making sure the way you work can grow with the work you're being asked to do.

What Coaching Can Help You Work On

Executive and professional coaching is built around the demands of your role and the changes you want to make. The focus may shift over time, but common areas of work include:

Leadership & Influence

Develop greater clarity about how you want to lead, communicate expectations more intentionally, navigate difficult interactions, develop others, and adjust your leadership approach as your responsibility and visibility increase.

Executive Functioning & Work Systems

Build approaches to planning, prioritization, task initiation, time management, transitions, and follow-through that fit both your cognitive style and the realities of your work. For professionals with ADHD or other forms of neurodivergence, this may include designing around executive functioning differences rather than continually trying to overcome them.

Communication & Relationships

Examine communication patterns, interpersonal dynamics, boundaries, feedback, conflict, and the gap that can sometimes exist between what you intend to communicate and how others experience it.

Managing Complexity & Competing Demands

Develop more deliberate ways to make decisions, protect attention, distinguish what actually requires your involvement, and allocate limited time and cognitive resources across competing priorities.

Professional Transitions & Growth

Navigate expanded responsibilities, new leadership roles, changing professional identities, increased visibility, career decisions, or other transitions that require you to reconsider how you work and where you invest your energy.

Sustainable Performance

Identify patterns that produce strong short-term results but carry a longer-term cost. Coaching can help you develop approaches that support high performance without requiring constant urgency, overextension, or recovery from the way you're working.

Coaching isn't a predetermined curriculum. We focus on the places where greater awareness, a different strategy, or a deliberate experiment can meaningfully change how your work actually feels and functions.

What to Expect from Coaching

Coaching is collaborative, practical, and individualized. We start with what is happening in your work now and build from there.

Clarify What You're Trying to Change

We'll identify the challenges, patterns, or professional goals that brought you to coaching and clarify what meaningful progress would actually look like. Sometimes the initial concern is very specific; other times, the work becomes clearer as we begin examining what is happening.

Understand the Pattern

Rather than jumping immediately to a strategy, we'll look at what is contributing to the problem. That may include executive functioning, habits and work systems, competing demands, interpersonal dynamics, organizational context, assumptions, or the way you've learned to approach your role.

Design & Experiment

We'll develop practical strategies or changes to test between sessions. The emphasis is on experimentation rather than finding the one “right” approach—trying something, noticing what happens, and using that information to refine the next step.

Adapt as Your Work Changes

Coaching evolves with you. As one challenge becomes more manageable, we may shift toward a different leadership or professional priority. The goal is not dependence on coaching, but developing greater awareness and a more flexible set of approaches you can continue using on your own.

You should leave coaching with more than insight. You should have a clearer understanding of what works for you, why it works, and how to adapt when circumstances change.

Individual & Organization-Sponsored Coaching

Coaching can be initiated by you or provided as part of a professional development engagement through your employer, law firm, or other organization.

Individual Coaching

You may seek coaching independently to address a specific professional challenge, strengthen executive functioning or work systems, navigate a transition, or develop more intentionally as a leader.

The work is shaped around your goals and can be short-term and focused or continue as your professional needs evolve.

Organization-Sponsored Coaching

Organizations may engage Dr. Ashley to provide individualized coaching for leaders and professionals as part of leadership development, professional performance, or targeted support around a particular area of growth.

When an organization sponsors coaching, the engagement begins with clarity about the purpose of the coaching, the roles of the individual and sponsoring organization, and what information—if any—will be shared outside of coaching sessions.

Effective organization-sponsored coaching requires enough alignment to support meaningful goals while preserving the space for candid, productive coaching conversations.

Coaching: Fees & Practical Information

Individual Coaching — $250 per hour

Individual executive and professional coaching is offered at $250 per hour. The frequency and duration of coaching are individualized based on your goals; coaching does not require a predetermined number of sessions or a long-term commitment.

Organization-Sponsored Coaching

Coaching may also be sponsored by law firms, employers, and other organizations. The scope, scheduling, goals, and fees for organization-sponsored engagements are established with the sponsoring organization at the beginning of the engagement.

Virtual Coaching

Coaching is available virtually to professionals throughout the U.S. and internationally. Because coaching is a non-clinical professional service rather than psychological treatment, it is not limited to the jurisdictions where Dr. Ashley holds authorization to practice psychology.

Coaching & Therapy Are Different Services

Executive and professional coaching focuses on professional goals, work patterns, leadership, executive functioning, and behavior change within the context of your work. It is not psychotherapy, psychological treatment, or a substitute for mental health care when clinical services are needed.

If you're unsure whether therapy or coaching is the better fit for what you're looking for, Dr. Ashley can help you think through the distinction during an initial consultation.

Work Differently. Lead More Intentionally.

You don't need to have everything figured out before starting coaching. You may have a specific challenge you want to address, a pattern you know isn't working, or simply a sense that the way you're working needs to evolve with where you are now.

A complimentary 15-minute consultation is an opportunity to talk briefly about what you're looking for, ask questions about coaching, and see whether it feels like a good fit for what you need.
