Dr. Ashley Junghans-Rutelonis, PhD, LP, PMH-C is a Mayo Clinic College of Medicine trained clinical psychologist. She has been in clinical practice for over a decade, partnering with women to solidify values-based living and explore next steps in the lives they choose to lead.

Virtual appointments can occur via a confidential app on your phone or sitting at your laptop. We are flexible so you can make mental health care work for you. She is now available to in-person therapy sessions a few hours per week in Edina, Minnesota.

What kind of therapy services do we provide?

We provide virtual mental health assessments and virtual and in-person therapy for women. Our client's mental health difficulties are stalling forward progress in their self-care, in their careers, and in their lives…

  • Perinatal anxiety, depression, and OCD;
  • Transitioning to maternity leave, and then returning to work or shifting out of the workforce;
  • Transitioning to a parenting role and juggling multiple roles;
  • Ongoing worry and anxiety;
  • Depression and feelings of sadness, hopelessness, or low self-confidence;
  • Lack of self-compassion;
  • Significant sleep disturbance due to stress;
  • Difficulties being assertive;
  • Ongoing personal or family stressors that are impacting their ability to engage professionally; and
  • Difficulty defining why exactly they feel stuck and wanting to delve deeper into values and goals misalignment while still acknowledging how they got to this place.

What kind of coaching do we provide?

 Coaching includes coaching for young adults transitioning to college and graduate school, organizational/time management skills for adults, leadership skills, career development, and goals+values coaching.

  • ADHD coaching
  • Executive Functioning coaching including time awareness, time management, organization, follow through, attention shaping, motivation management, self-restraint skills, and emotion self-regulation.
  • Leadership skills including communication, modeling, presence, relationship building, and team engagement.
  • Management skills including feedback, meeting structures, staff trajectory identification, candor, relationship building, and difficulty conversations.
  • Career development including skills above and strengths- based trajectories.
  • Goals+values coaching: Focused on integrating your goals and values in a targeted, forward looking approach. Goals+values coaching is different from therapy in that work is skills-based, highly structured, and targeted.
  • Maternity leave coaching - preparation and return.

What kind of assessment services do we provide?

We provide assessments via telemedicine to answer a number of questions. We love being able to provide virtual ADHD assessments for teenagers and adults. Diagnosis of ADHD in girls and women has often been missed or delayed, but we are working to expand access to assessment services.

Knowledge about one’s brain and body is a powerful resource. Many individuals have ongoing concentration difficulties, distractibility, and organizational challenges that have only intensified with COVID.

We provide ADHD assessments for women ages 22-65.

We can also assess any of the following questions for adults:

  • autism spectrum disorder;
  • mental health diagnosis clarification (e.g., anxiety versus depression versus PTSD),
  • cognitive ability and memory,
  • and learning disorders (e.g., Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia).

Coaching & Mental Health Fit Assessments

The most effective partner in your mental health is one that feels like a good fit.

We offer fit assessments, where we can discuss your needs and provide recommendations for next steps.

What we do.

High-achieving women need a strong support system, as they identify what they value and the goals that move them towards a value-driven life.

Women have trainers and memberships to remote work-out classes. They have meal delivery subscriptions that personalize healthy food they make in their homes.

I want women to put their mental health priorities into the mix with their trainers, meal delivery services, and subscription boxes. (I actually want them to place mental health above subscription boxes!)

As a clinical psychologist and coach, I work with high-performing women who are feeling stuck.

  • Perhaps you are pregnant or had a child in the past year or two and are not doing okay.
  • Perhaps you feel you are constantly running on a treadmill and you are juggling so many roles (mother, partner, daughter, friend, boss) that it is hard to keep up.
  • Perhaps you are facing anxiety barriers and ongoing depression that is making it hard to fully engage even when you want to, or significant sleep difficulties that make you feel cognitively groggy.
  • Perhaps you want to learn new strategies to focus on time management and efficiency at work so you can spend more time engaged with your partners, your family, or your own interests.
  • Perhaps you feel totally disconnected to what you actually want and need...so disconnected you need help identifying what you really value.
  • Perhaps social anxiety, self-doubt, or broken institutional structures are making work performance challenging.
  • Perhaps you are grieving the death of a parent while also parenting your own children.
  • Perhaps life has been snowballing and you need assistance in slowing it down.

We meet with women who are feeling stuck, whether it is in a job they dislike, one they love that simply isn’t working for them anymore, or one that is creating work/life integration difficulties they want to navigate. For other women, they are feeling stuck in a relationship, an ill-fitting environment, or in a pattern of behavior that is no longer serving them. Women's mental health is health. It valuable to make it a priority, create space to reinvigorate yourself, and move towards your strength.

What we are about.

We are about you.

We are about teamwork.

We are about values.

You may be a high-performing woman in corporate, a solopreneur, or a mother performing a balancing act with all the things on your plate.

You are driven. You bring unique experiences. You have knowledge no one else can duplicate.

AJR & Co. is about creating the time and space for YOU to identify what YOU value.

We are about values.

We are about teamwork.

We are about values.

We hear negative feedback about being too {insert judgement here}. We have heard it all. Over time, we start to believe what we hear and begin to value our authentic selves less.

The role of a psychologist and coach is to honor who you are and what you value.

It is to help you identify your values and actively move towards them.

We are about teamwork.

We are about teamwork.

We are about teamwork.

We partner with high-performing women and organizations for the following:

  • Therapy Services
  • Assessment
  • Coaching
  • Organizational Consultation
  • Media Conversations about Evidence-Based Mental Health and Well-Being
